As a mum of 3 now adult men, I have always been concerned with making sure they know they can come to me or their dad to talk. In truth, men/boys are not the same as women/girls. Women/girls love to get together and share our problems, concerns or what's going on in our lives. However, it is still very taboo for men to opening express how they feel, and if they show their feelings this is often met with silence or discomfort. That is why I am so passionate about encouraging open conversations with my sons, around mental and emotional wellbeing. I want to create a space for my sons and other men/boys to feel safe enough to be themselves.
The RESET session is a hands-on recovery treatment designed to help your nervous system slow down so your body and mind can reset.
Most people spend their days in constant "go mode" training hard, thinking hard, reacting fast. Over time this keeps the nervous system stuck in overdrive, which affects sleep, recovery, focus and physical tension.
This session helps your system shift into a true recovery state, where the body can rest, recalibrate and recover naturally.
You don't need to talk, believe in anything or do any techniques. you simply lie down and rest.
What happens in a session?
You lie fully clothed on a treatment table. The practitioner works quietly with gentle hands on or off contact. There is no talking unless you want to ask questions. Many people feel warmth, heaviness or deep relaxation. Some fall asleep. The sessions lasts 45-60 minutes.
How it helps?
The session works by supporting the nervous system regulate. When the nervous system shifts out of fight or flight mode, the body can; -
